孤山水的創作論述
「孤山水」（Discrete Islands）系列採取簡淡的色彩、塊狀的佈局構成具有疏離狀態的風格，在每一塊山石裡的筆法是以書法性的筆觸，表現對材質物性的探索。生宣手抄紙的紙張特性被筆觸與筆觸之間的水暈留出空隙，形成留白的線條，這是生宣特有的質性，而透過這個內留白的水暈線條，取代了以黑色墨線畫石皴的古典技法，不畫線而自有線的塊狀山石中，讓生宣紙性被凸顯出來。使用撕貼方式重組拼貼的技法，「孤山水」以大量留白與疏離的塊狀山石結構，隱喻台灣島嶼在國際上被孤立的政治狀態，也隱喻著人際關係的疏離狀態。
The series of “discrete island”are used simple blocky layout to form a style with alienation. The brush works in each pieces of rock are calligraphic brushstroke, which expresses the exploration of material properties. Instead black line, the brush strokes shows the relationship between paper’s characteristic and leave blank lines. The one of technique to reorganizing of “Discrete Islands” are using collage. All the works of “discrete Islands” are metaphor the political state in which the islands of Taiwan is isolated internationally, in the other hand, also metaphorizes the alienation of interpersonal relationships.
