2022- 冰墨 Ice Ink
冰墨，將墨與水按不同比例自製成冰墨塊，然後放在宣紙上，讓它慢慢融化，冰墨在宣紙上消融擴張、墨暈如漣漪般渲染開來，過程與結果無法預設，僅兩種物質（冰墨與生宣紙），試圖以極簡的物件與動作，觀看物質之間自身物性遭逢的狀態，而過程中與當下的空氣濕度也產生細微的變化關係。墨暈擴散的過程也進行錄製，並製成錄像。------袁慧莉
This artwork involves the process of creating ice ink blocks by mixing ink and water in varying ratios. These ice ink blocks are then placed on Xuan paper (a type of rice paper known for its absorbency). As the ice melts, the ink gradually diffuses and expands on the paper, creating ink washes that spread out like ripples. The process and the final outcome are unpredictable. The artwork utilizes only two materials: the ice ink and the raw Xuan paper. The intention is to observe the inherent material properties of these substances as they interact with each other. Subtle changes in the ambient humidity during the melting process also contribute to the outcome. The diffusion process of the ink washes is recorded, and the resulting footage is presented as a video artwork.------YUAN Hui-Li
